TITANS DOMINATE AGOSTINELLI TOURNAMENT

The Long Island Titans had an unprecedented weekend by sweeping all 3 divisions of the Agostinelli Memorial Tournament Oct 12-14. In its 5th year the Agostinelli tournament has become one of the most competitive tournaments on the fall circuit. Most of the best teams in the region participate each year and this year was perhaps the most competitive group yet. The LI TITANS WEST went 5-0 in capturing the 16u Championship in dominating fashion outscoring their opponents by a combined score of 34 runs for and only 8 against. In the 18u division the LI TITANS 18 WHITE  won the 20 teams Antonia division by also going 5-0 and punctuating their performance by beating a very strong Colorado Rockies scout team 8-2 in the Final. In the other 20 team 18u bracket, the Donato division, the NEXT LEVEL TITAN/STORM went 4-0-1 and captured the championship game with a thrilling 5-4 victory over a tough Full Count team and ended the game with 2 remarkable defensive plays to secure the victory. It was an outstanding weekend for the Titans program while participating in a great cause as the Agostinelli tournament raises money for cancer research and support!
